Aberlemno Parish Church is located at National Grid ref. NO522555. Built 1722, restored 1856. The mediaeval kirk belonged to the Augustinian Priory of Restenneth.

Aldbar belonged to the collegiate church of Methven PER. Aldbar Kirk was restored in 1853 by the antiquary, Patrick Chalmers of Aldbar, as the private chapel of Aldbar House, but is again a ruin. A coat of arms for Chalmers appears high in the south gable: a demi-lion issuant from a fess and in base a fleur-de-lys. The chapel stands within a small low-walled enclosure, in a wooded den beside a burn. From the enclosure, an archway leads directly on to a stone bridge over the burn. In spring, the ground is carpeted in snowdrops (mainly doubles), there are many primroses and, in sunshine, it is a delightful setting that is neither "difficult to reach" nor "overgrown with nettles", contrary to Mitchell's comments on a visit in June 1978.
