Special services of heir in Kincardineshire, 1580-1700

Retours of heirs to named lands, baronies and other property in Kincardineshire

Details of the properties inherited will be gradually added.

The Corrigenda for Kincardine have been applied. Titles of nobles have been shortened. As yet unidentified place-names are preceded by '#'; the rest have been modernised, as have personal names.

No. 178 is out of date order, and was the only 'Omissum' in the original index. Numbers 179-192 formed the 'Supplement' of the original publication.

A number in square brackets precedes each property or collection of properties for which an Extent is given in the printed summary; similarly, for each annual rent.

'Craigneston' has been called 'Craigmoston' since before 1800.
